Celebrating Great British Produce
Food Classes
£2 per class entry
- Class 1: A jar of jam – any fruit.

Class 2: A jar of marmalade – any citrus.

Class 3: A savoury jar – including pickles, chutneys or piccalillis

Class 4: A classic Victoria sponge
-
Class 5: Four scones, sweet or savoury
-
Class 6: Five gymkana themed cup-cakes. *UNDER 12 CLASS*

Class 7: One large or three small Indian inspired vegetable or meat pies using shortcrust pastry.
Flowers Classes
£2 per class entry

Class 8: Single variety of any cut flower – 5 stems.

Class 9: Small arrangement of garden roses – mixed or single variety, approx. 5 flowers.

Class 10: Large arrangement of garden flowers and foliage –. Approx. 10 flowers.

Class 11: Sweet Peas – 9 stems.
-
Class 12: Dahlias – 5 mixed or single variety.

Class 13: Pretty Pelargoniums & gorgeous Geraniums

Class 14: The King & Queen are coming for breakfast! An arrangement for the table, no taller than 10”, to include grasses and wildflowers.

Class 15: A vase of your favourite wild and garden flowers *UNDER 12 CLASS*
Garden Produce Classes
£2 per class entry
- Class 16: Vegetables – two examples of five different varieties.

Class 17: A plate of perfect new potatoes

Class 18: A basket of all the home-grown ingredients for a delicious summer salad including a small jar of your homemade salad dressing.

Class 19: Soft Fruits – from strawberries and raspberries to peaches and gooseberries, show us a selection from your garden, beautifully displayed.
Cider
£2 per class entry
- Class 20: Cider – a home brew, two bottles of 500ml. Please tell us if you have aimed for Dry, Medium or Sweet!
N.B. –
- Please place all cut stems in clear vases. Water will be available in the tent to top the vases up on arrival.
- All garden produce should be presented in a trug or basket.
- All entries must be healthy, disease free and from your own garden or local hedgerows!
Prizes!
Entries will be accepted from 9am – 11.30am at the Flower & Produce Marquee, just by the main ring
Each entry costs £2.00
Judging will commence at 12 noon. Please state if you will be collecting the entry after 3pm or donating to the show.
1st in each class will be awarded: A winning rosette and a £10 Groves gift voucher
2nd in each class will be awarded: A winning rosette and a £5 groves gift voucher
3rd in each class will be awarded: A winning rosette

2023 Judges!
Connie Hawker
Local chef, caters for any occasion but particularly enjoys canapes, keeping it simple, seasonal and colourful. She is judging the food and will be looking for great flavour, beautiful presentation and imaginative ideas. www.conniehawker.com

Local florist with fabulous flowers for all occasions and bouquet delivery across Dorset, will be judging the garden and flowers entries. www.treezandflowers.co.uk
David Shelly and John Palmer
Local brewer, will be judging the cider class. As well as flavour they’ll be looking at aroma, appearance and mouthfeel. www.palmersbrewery.com
